I’d gone off to drawing group and Dave was just leaving for work when the man from Eglouvi claiming the olive trees came up. He waved his contract at Dave, told him he would stop us building, that we wouldn’t want to go to court and demanded payment for the trees and the land immediately around them – in the sum of 20,000 euros! Ridiculous, but we decided it is time we took some advice and arranged to see a lawyer recommended by four different people we know, including Adonis from the Forestry office.
