After a day at the yard, Dave decided to refit the chicken hut to make it more fox-proof. It must be something to do with seeing out the period of mourning, but we are both getting keen to have another go at keeping chickens alive. I think Dave has been quietly working on the redesign, as he came home with chicken wire and plans and made all sorts of improvements, including a door in the wire for feeding.
