Dave went to start the generator first thing, and found it had lost compression (I think that's what he said?). At least it wasn’t freezing or raining, but it took a couple of hours to strip down the cylinder head and sort out the tapper-rocker thingies. Seems a bit of a dodgy generator – it’s still less than a year old. But we do use it a lot. No electricity until it was fixed, as there’s been no sunshine for over a week.
