It has now been raining for a few days, and is set in for weeks, we’re told.  I had obtained some solar fairy lights for the big cypress by the deck, and they were doing all right (only come on in the dark) but getting absolutely drowned by the downpour off the awning.

Dave was worried about the new batteries going flat while we wait for Dieter to source some new panels, so I suggested he get the two small panels off the boat, which are ‘resting’ at the moment, as we still don’t have the repaired gantry to reinstall them on.

So Dave made a Heath Robinson temporary installation using the old chicken house, as we wanted the panels as far down the field as possible to get as much sun as they can, as the shed area is in the shade too much now.
