Boxing Clever

Friday 9 December 2011

Dave built the box for the new batteries, then unscrewed it and built it again, according to the plan that we'd had the pieces cut to.  We still have some offcuts of roofing felt from the writing hut, so it got a patchwork roof.  The batteries have been a bit of a nuisance around the place for the last week.  Each one weighs 27 kilos (think of it as one and a half times your baggage allowance) and they shouldn’t get wet.  Two went in the camper cab, and two underfoot in the shed.  But now they have a home

We have been checking the potato patch at intervals for signs of life, and were very excited to see this first shoot had appeared.

Then the sun went down pinking up the mountains under a full moon rising.
I love it when that happens.
