Butrint, archaeological marvel – 2,500 years of continuous occupation from the Romans to the Venetians. As it was October, we had it virtually to ourselves. Dave and I took off in advance of the guided tour and hardly saw a soul. It covers several acres and took over an hour to walk the path up to the castle in the centre.
