We got home to find a good bit of building had been going on, but actually without taking any notice of the plans - either Constantine hadn't told the workers or Yiannis was committed to giving us the the strongest possible structure: a box with no windows or doors!
Each square section of wall is braced with olivewood corners and a strong diagonal, filled in with crosspieces. Fine - but not where a door should be, or an important window. Constantine suggested we put strings across to frame the doors and windows we wanted. We had already noted sizes on the concrete, but the bitumen damp proof membrane had made them difficult to see, so they'd been ignored.
