Watering holes

20 - 21 April 2020

While I have been digging out round endless numbers of trees, Dave has been woodchipping brushwood to cover the paths between the vegetable beds.  Then he turned his hand to fixing up a watering system in each bed, so that a hose can be plugged into a pipe with sprinklers in it.

Dave on his way down to an evening moment at the pond.

This is one of the Robinia trees, which, instead of being overwhelmed by grass, is in the middle of a manure-mulched vegetable bed.  It seems to be enjoying the new situation.

Horrors!  Cabbage White caterpillars.  Lucky we spotted them.

Me posing with a rose I thought I would take inside and draw.

The drawing.

Dave's watering system working well, after a few false starts.

And to celebrate, a glass of ginger beer on the terrace while watching the garden water itself.
