Work on the bathroom wall continued, with the emphasis on getting all the laths into the walls. There is so much new and offcut wood stored in the 'party room' (as it is to be) that a week has gone past just trying to find useful places to put it all.
Work on the bathroom wall continued, with the emphasis on getting all the laths into the walls. There is so much new and offcut wood stored in the 'party room' (as it is to be) that a week has gone past just trying to find useful places to put it all.
As a result, I have completely lathed the internal wall between the
entry and the living (party) room - an unexpected benefit of all this
preparation, as I had not considered getting that wall done any time
soon, and it cuts out a lot of drafts in our sitting area.
And I found enough pieces of nice planed wood to put batons and five slats in each shelf of the linen press
And I constructed this jigsaw of (unseen) supports and plywood tops to make a long step from the entry to the foot of the stairs, as the drop from eventual floor level (the thresholds) to current floor level is about 25cm, so it is better broken up with a 12cm step.
