The 'Cathedral' window

5 October 2015

With the camera flooded, I had to take photos with my phone.  Not sure how they will come out on here, but I'll give it a go.

Mum stayed an extra week, after the menfolk left on Sunday.  The weather was intermittent, so we did some work, but also got to the beach when the weather brightened up.

Mum settled into the music room, braving our uneven floor levels and robust living conditions!

On a sudden impulse, Dave took himself off down the garden and rotavated our old potato patch, then mulched it with loose straw reclaimed from the ground around the West wall.  A good thing to do with all the stray straw.

While Mum and I went swimming, Dave worked his way around the newly baled walls, putting up fascia boards with membrane and mesh, ready for plastering.

Hurrah!  Rowan arrived with the cathedral window for the SE corner.  Paris and Tuscany came with him, to clean and prep the frames as they were fitted.  With these in place, we can start to get the wall ready for plastering.
