We put up plasterboard, and spent a couple of days learning the difficult things about tiling.
These included:
cutting plasterboard;
getting everything level (in three dimensions, including forward and back);
mixing up adhesive;
cutting tiles using the tile cutter;
trying not to lose the little spacer crosses in the adhesive;
being tolerant about little spacer crosses lost in the adhesive which prevent the tile lying flush with its neighbours;
.
and ultimately, that tiling is altogether too fiddly and messy for Dave and that Sara should just get on with it
If you had let me nail them up it would have been done in no time!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks pretty impressive ...... precision engineering! It's really coming along now, and I love the hearthstone mosaic ..... you've come a long way in 6 weeks since I witnessed the ceremonial placing of the base. You should go up on Christmas Day, stand back, see your accomplishments with new eyes and pat yourselves on the back for the last 4 months hard work. Well done xxxx
