Back to work with a vengeance. This is the best building season of the year, time to make hay (!) after months of silly temperatures. To get the final bale wall up we have to: make the wooden infrastructure; get the bales; install the bales. So first, we started on the infrastructure.
Dave constructed a lintel frame to span the front door. The walls curve in towards the door, so the frame is a strange shape. It needs to hold straw so Dave also made a plywood base, I varnished it, and then we installed it.
