Further to our instructions at Aris' herbalism class, we set out to make our first tincture. Aris recommended hawthorn, and as we have two little hawthorn trees in the garden, that's where we started.
The berries are soaked in clear, unflavoured alcohol - this is vodka, and left to soak for several weeks, after which the solution is decanted into dropper bottles and used a few drops at a time.
